LESO delivers a school-based programme that equips learners with accurate, age-appropriate knowledge about HIV and AIDS through interactive sessions and open discussion. The programme covers transmission, prevention, stigma reduction, testing, treatment, and positive living, creating a safe space where learners can ask questions and challenge misconceptions.
Following the sessions, LESO supports schools to establish Anti-AIDS Clubs led by students. Learners elect peer leaders and work under the guidance of a trained teacher patron to deliver ongoing awareness activities such as peer education, school assemblies, drama, debates, poster campaigns, and community outreach.
By empowering young people to educate their peers, the programme strengthens trust, builds leadership skills, and ensures long-term sustainability. Learners become informed advocates for their own health and that of their communities, embedding HIV and AIDS awareness within the school system.
Together, we deliver health, dignity and hope to vulnerable communities through sustainable programs. Partner with us to create a just world where all can thrive.
